CapSort Privacy Policy

1. Overview

CapSort is a screenshot-sorting app published by TheForklift.dev LLC ("we," "us"), built by a solo developer who doesn't want your data any more than you want to hand it over. This policy is short because the app doesn't do much with your information, that's intentional.

2. What CapSort accesses

Your screenshots. CapSort requests access to your Photos library specifically to read and sort the screenshots collection, never your full camera roll. When you sort, crop, or export a screenshot, that processing happens entirely on your device.

CapSort also requests permission to add processed images back to your Photos library, into the folders you create yourself. It never modifies or deletes your original screenshots without your explicit action, the app's trash queue requires your confirmation through Apple's own delete dialog before anything is removed.

3. What CapSort doesn't do

• No account or sign-in required
• No cloud storage or server, CapSort has no backend; nothing you sort, crop, or scrub is transmitted anywhere unless you personally choose to export or share it
• No advertising, no ad tracking, no IDFA usage
• No analytics SDK collecting behavioral data at this time

4. Purchases

CapSort uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier and your purchase/transaction information from Apple in order to confirm what you've unlocked. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and CapSort does not use it for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

5. Metadata scrubbing

CapSort can strip GPS location, capture timestamp, and device information embedded in a screenshot before you export or share it. This stripping happens on-device, the original, unscrubbed file never leaves your phone through this feature.

6. Children's privacy

CapSort is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

7. Changes to this policy

If what CapSort collects changes, for example, if a future analytics tool is added, this page will be updated and the in-app version noted accordingly.
