How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, right in the app. It takes about a minute:
- Open PegPerfect and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read what gets deleted, tap Delete account, then confirm.
- Sign in with Apple or Google one more time. This proves it's really you before anything is deleted.
Your account is deleted right away, and the app tells you when it's done. Your device then starts fresh as a guest, so you can keep playing if you want to.
Deleting your account doesn't touch your Pro purchase. PegPerfect Pro is a one-time purchase on your Apple ID or Google Play account, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. Purchases stay with your Apple ID or Google account, so you can restore them later.
Can't open the app? Delete by email
If you've already uninstalled PegPerfect or can't get into it, we'll do it for you:
- Email privacy@theforklift.dev.
- Use the subject line "Delete account."
- In the message, include whichever of these you have: the email address you used to sign in with Google or Apple, and/or the nickname you've used on the Daily Challenge leaderboard. PegPerfect doesn't use usernames, so this is how we find your account.
- We verify the request and delete your account within 30 days, and reply to the same email to confirm once it's done.
Only ever played as a guest? Your progress is backed up under a random ID with no name or email attached. To delete it, sign in with Apple or Google (that attaches to the same guest profile, history and all), then follow the in-app steps above. That removes everything.
Delete specific data, keep your account
You don't have to close your whole account just to clear something out of it. Email privacy@theforklift.dev with the subject line "Delete data," tell us which account it's for (the email you signed in with, or your leaderboard nickname), and what to remove, for example just your match history, or just your Daily Challenge leaderboard entry. We'll clear exactly what you ask for within 30 days and leave the rest of your account and stats intact.
What gets deleted
When you delete your whole account:
- Deleted from our servers, permanently: your profile, career stats, match history, rare hands, streaks, head-to-head bot records, Daily Challenge results, and your entries on the daily leaderboards. Your login is deleted too.
- Deleted from your device: your history, records, achievements, leaderboard nickname, saved game, and tutorial progress.
- Disconnected: we revoke PegPerfect's Sign in with Apple access and disconnect its Google sign-in access, so signing in again later starts a brand new account.
- Kept on your device: your settings, like card colors and Turbo speed, and the free-trial and free-game counters. Deleting your account doesn't reset your free trial.
A few things aren't deleted because they don't identify you:
- Hall of Fame: if you were ever a Daily Challenge #1 finisher, that day's nickname and score stay in our Hall of Fame archive, a historical record of daily winners.
- App-wide totals: your play is part of the pooled hand-difficulty stats and game-tempo totals (things like how long games take and which Turbo speeds get used). Those never had your account ID in them, so there's nothing to unlink.
- Nickname reports: if you reported someone's leaderboard nickname, the report stays for moderation. It still contains your old account ID, which no longer points to anyone.
- Purchase records: Apple and Google keep their own records of what you bought. RevenueCat, which checks your Pro status for us, keeps a purchase record under your old account ID. If you want that removed too, email privacy@theforklift.dev and we'll delete it.
- Crash reports and usage events: these expire on Firebase's normal schedule. They're tied to your device, not your name or email.
If you only ask us to delete specific data, we remove just that and nothing else changes.
We keep an internal backup of deleted records briefly for operational safety (for example, to recover from an accidental bulk deletion). It's never used to restore your account or contact you, and it isn't shared with anyone.
